Register today to learn about the Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP).


Join us on Tuesday November 12, 2013 for this workshop which will serve as a step-by-step guide to understanding the new Marketplace or SHOP for small employers. This hands-on training will walk small employers through the options available during open enrollment through Healthcare.gov. Attendees will also learn which policies, premiums and coverage options are best for their business and budget.


This free seminar is designed to help you with the following:


• understand how SHOP works
• learn more about different types of health insurance coverage available on the Exchange/Marketplace
• small employer eligibility
• budgeting and selecting appropriate levels
• understanding the enrollment process
• and how to use the new enrollment portal

Facilitator:


Veronica D. Moore currently serves in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Regional Office, Office of the Secretary (OS), Intergovernmental External Affairs, Region VI Dallas, Texas. She currently leads efforts in the Office of the Regional Director to educate the community on current HHS initiatives. Ms. Moore holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University. She has been an advocate for health and social issues for over 20 years. Prior to joining the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, Ms. Moore worked for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the Division of Health Plan Operations.
Ms. Moore began her career working at local and state levels on Medicaid, CHIP and TANF programs.

 

Additionally, Ms. Moore has worked in the public hospital system, lead marketing and enrollment efforts for both public and private sector health insurers in the implementation of healthcare programs for adults, children and seniors. 


Ms. Moore has been recognized for her work in the community as an advocate for children’s health issues and leading efforts to bridge the gap of health care disparities that exist for both the uninsured and underinsured population.
